MISSION TYPES
Bridge Command offers four distinct mission types — Military, Exploration, Intrigue, and Diplomacy (link each to their section on the page) and up to 14 unique crew roles across Science, Engineering, Operations, and Command teams (link each to their section on the page). With multiple scenarios for each mission type, each visit offers a new episode and no two experiences are ever the same.
-
DIPLOMACY
In a Diplomacy mission you will need to negotiate with some of the colourful characters who represent these many factions and do your utmost to further the aims of the UCN. One of the primary objectives of the UCN is to be a beacon of the political unity of humanity. As a representative of that vision, you will be called on to spread the vision of a unified human species amongst the many warring factions of the far flung human diaspora. As the saying goes, a good starship captain wins the fight, a great starship captain ensures it never starts in the first place.
-
EXPLORATION
Exploration missions will involve investigating strange anomalies, searching for key resources, surveying new sectors of space, and helping other UCN personnel and our allies who have got themselves into difficulty. One of the primary objectives of the UCN is to further our understanding of the universe. Sometimes you may need to fight to survive, but the emphasis will be more on exploration and puzzle solving.
-
INTRIGUE
From missing ships to silent comms – something’s wrong, and you need to find out what, and why. These missions will involve an investigation of some kind, and often involve carrying out tasks for UCN intelligence. Skullduggery and subterfuge are the order of the day, if you want to find out just how deep the rabbit hole goes.
-
MILITARY
Military Missions have an emphasis on ship-to-ship combat, strategy and tactics. You will come into direct confrontation with enemies of the UCN. Sometimes you will be required to defend UCN assets and personnel, sometimes you will be called on to assist our allies and neutral parties, and sometimes you yourselves will come under direct attack. You will need all your crew to work together seamlessly to overcome your adversaries.
