Immersive and interactive performance is a key element of Bridge Command.

Spend a day working with Artistic Director, Owen Kingston and members of the Bridge Command company to learn how we approach dynamic character and performance with the audience, all while maintaining the world of 2182. This intimate full day practical workshop will explore foundations of immersive and interactive performance, where you will be closely supported in developing your own skills.

This session is aimed at anyone who is interested in exploring immersive and interactive performance as a potential career, or to broaden their understanding of creating immersive and interactive theatre.

MEET THE WORKSHOP LEADERS

  • Owen Kingston Roger Taylor

    Owen Kingston

    Owen is the Artistic Director of Parabolic Theatre – the pioneering immersive and interactive theatre company. He is a writer and director with over 20 years’ experience working in the theatre and film industries. Parabolic shows are known for their extreme levels of interactivity, and for adapting on the fly in response to audiences. Recent shows include "For King and Country", "Crisis? What Crisis?", "The House of Cenci" and “Bridge Command”.

  • Zoe Flint Kennedy Greene

    Zoe Flint

    Zoe Flint is an actor and director, specialising in immersive theatre for over 10 years. Trained at Drama St Mary’s, Zoe is an Associate Artist with Parabolic Theatre and Creative Associate with Bridge Command. Zoe has taken a lead role in working with performers, developing their immersive-specific performance skills through both theory and practical development.

  • Gryph Griffin Sam Falco

    Sarah Griffin

    Sarah "Gryph" Griffin is a multiple award-winning actor, comic, clown, educator and theatre maker. Gryph took their Masters in Classical Acting at RCSSD as a Fulbright Scholar, during which they trained at the Moscow Arts Theatre and developed work with the International Clown Research Project. With nearly twenty years of experience in interactive and immersive performance, their list of previous companies include Secret Cinema, Jury Games, Clay & Diamonds and 1929. They have been a visiting lecturer for Ithaca College, South-Hampton Solent, Royal Holloway, the University of Macedonia and Fourth Monkey.

  • Christoper Styles Ed Bell

    Christopher Styles

    Christopher Styles has worked as an actor, writer and director for the past 10 years specialising in interactive and playable theatre. He is an associate artist for Parabolic Theatre having helped create the concept for their hit show For King and Country as well as writing and directing We Have a Situation, both of which utilised game mechanics to tell the narrative. Chris is also the Artistic Director of Mechanical Thought, another immersive theatre company, and a creative associate of Bridge Command.
